    Default Restoration estimate?

Any guess how much would it cost to restore the blade and a set of new scales?

    Thank you all!

In the classifieds you will find a section with Restoration Nutz listed and a pm to any of them will get you prices... here http://straightrazorpalace.com/class...wcat.php/cat/4

However it has always been an unwritten etiquette rule not to discuss prices on the open forum....

    Welcome to SRP...

I am also going to move this to the Workshop for you as this is where most of us hang out....

    Thank you, sir!

    Is it at least salvagable?

I would say more than likely, but there are some dark spots at the edge on the toe that concern me.

Other than as the "Mark" /JMS already pointed out that one dark spot on the toe right at the top of the barbers notch looks to be the worse of it, the rest of the razor looks like a great candidate for restore....

I myself cannot make out the Maker from the pic.... I have an idea of what brand it is just from the looks of the razor, but I cannot see the markings...

Welcome to SRP and good luck with your razor. You're already in good hands on that. If you haven't already done so check out the SRP Wiki here. All the info you'll need on straight razor shaving and the straight razor data base with lots of eye candy.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

With regard to the dark spot, what exactly are we concerned about?
