Thanked: 6Source for Scale Materials?
Where do people buy their scale materials? I plan on making scales for only a couple razors, so its difficult to find a place that sells wood in such small quantities and between 1/8"-3/16". So does anyone know of any websites or people here who sells in small amounts?

I'm looking as well - also I need to find pins. Saw an auction on the bay but no idea about the quality - and I normally don't see pins for auction. Looking for brass/silver pins and some wood that's thin enough for scales.

Thanked: 124exoticwoods.com sells 1/16" lumber. I've also been having success hand-sawing thin slabs using a large Japanese hand saw. For pins I ise 1/16" brass rod from the hardware store. You can also get it from McMaster-Carr. For #0 washers, I use microfasteners.com.

You could check your local lumber yard for short cut pieces. They usually have a bucket/bin full of pieces that they have cut from other peoples orders.
