Default Can this blade be saved?

I was looking at this razor on eBay.

Is this a chip that can be honed out?

That's a lot of honing out and one razor that I would definitely tape the spine on........

Probably a little easier to regrind that one, but looks salvageable to me.

    Breadknife it.

You'll lose 1/16 of an inch. But yes.

Looks like you could salvage it.

    Salvageable for sure.
I wouldn't do it all with hones. Probably much faster to shape/grind it.

Agreed! Go for it. The very first blade I tried to salvage had a chip like that. It worked very well using the Dremel and some light grinding on the edge. That is until I forgot about the direction of spin and wound up undoing an hour or so of work by making a new chip! Live and learn...

I didn't buy that blade, but at least I have a better idea of what can be done.
