    Hey there trammanaka,

I don't remember where I heard this from maybe here or somewhere else, but I really like this quote.

"if you are not making mistakes, you are not doing anything at all."

Don't worry about it! I did the same thing. There is plenty of information here to remedy your razor! Don't give up nor beat yourself up over the cracked scale. There are plenty of people here that can make you a new set or you can try it on your own. Check out the making scales sticky.

Looks like you do have a lot of rust in the pinhole region. I don't know if anyone else would agree with me but looks like you can get rid of the pitting by the normal handsanding method plus lots of patience. Hang in there!

    Thanks for the moral booster!

Although I have a couple of projects in mind... One of them being finishing my college degree which basically consists in finishing 3 course projects this semester and a paper I have to deliver next tuesday, i'm gonna see if I have time to put some hours into the razor otherwise i'll just leave for the summer.

It looks like I will really have to welder the blade near the pin hole to give it more stability but i'll only know for sure after sanding down the blade.

    Thanks again for your comments.

    Yeah,

Your completely right only after I had the scales off I noticed that they folded the metal to make the blade or should I say to hold the blade. and the other part is not folded... but still it seems fragile as it is especially with the rust and all.

    Thank you for your comments!
