Default What thickness of titanium sheet would make good scales?

My brother in law wants to try making me a set of scales for one of my Wapis, and asked me to find him the titanium plate to do so.

What thickness should I be getting? It seems as though I can order anything from 0.028" through 1/8".

    Thanks!!

The scales on my all stainless Dovo are just under 1/16th. It's pretty unbalanced though.
Why don't you weigh the blade & try to get a better balance? As titanium is fairly light you may find you can go a bit thicker to get a better shape to them. Balance is the priority though & don't forget to add the weight of the wedge.

less you plan on lots of holes or a thin look 1/16 works best
i have made with 1/8 and had not the greatest feedback on balance (great razor jsut scale heavy)
