I had the same problem with tha model razor. I used a q-tip and took my time and removed the spotting. After a shave I wipe my blade dry and apply organic oil to the blade and close it. The spotting has not reoccurred since.

I have found that if I

    1. wash the blade off with very hot water
    2. blow the scales out
    3. wipe with a towel and leave unfolded while I clean up
    4. wipe a small amount of oil on the blade from a Japanese knife oiler and put it away folded.

    This eliminated my spotting.

To eliminate what is already on the blade you can use 0.5 or 0.25 diamond paste. I have found anything else a little harsh and leaves some scratches.

    Take Care,
    Richard
