Thanked: 234Yer, sounds like auto sol, thought as much.
Auto sol is on offer all the time, so if Maas is more that a fiver, get down to halfrauds or similar and chances are it will be on offer.

When I finish shaving, I rinse the blade with just hot water. Then wipe it off to get any residue then rinse it under hot water again then wipe it again. Water evaporates off hot steel. Any moisture left after drying it evaporates in seconds. The I set it on dresser with the blade open while I dress, then I put it away. Once you have it clean, put some paste wax on the blade. That will help. I dont oil any of my razors but they sit in a display case. After a hone retouch I will wipe them with some MAAS and and give them another wax. 30 razors and never had one spot.

Thanked: 235I have a habit of holding the razor in front of the fan for a few minutes after the shave to make sure everything is dry. I also have a small collection of moisture absorbing thingies that come with new shoes (donated by my wife) in the bottom of my razor box.

Did you save the gold wash?

Thanked: 586I make certain when drying my razors to blow out the water between the scales. I usually just use my mouth but I have used those canned compressed gas dusters that people use for their keyboards. It works very well.
