Default Ebay catch- provenence and search for NOS scales

    Hey guys,

I got this one on ebay, paid somewhere mid-50's for it. forgot I bought it till it arrived. I bought it because it looks IDENTICAL to a w&B but different manufacturer. made me curious. etching on blade looks like a w&b I have. but made by John C. ****hill, Sheffield. anybody know anything about them or any idea if this was a contract blade?

Blade is a full 8/8 and a hair over 1/4" thick. nice and heavy. barely hollow ground. it has hone wear but it's even. I think plenty of life left.

This one I'd like to leave patina'd and just get honed. what I'm hoping to find is a set of buffalo scales I can slap on there. I know some of you are sitting on some old stock. not something to shape and all that, just a set that would fit and need to be pinned on. polished up and get to shaving.

if you don't want it seen on here that you have them you can PM me. help appreciated.
