    Default One for the wife

Some of you would have seen this little J. Diriam blade a couple of weeks ago. I posted a picture after chipping the blade while sanding. Thanks to some good advice, i saved the blade with a little reshaping at the heel end. This blade was only going to be a learning exercise in restoration as it had some pitting and its only a little 9/16 wide blade, too small for my liking. But then my wife sugested if she might give straight shaving a try if I made one for her. So i put in a little effort...
The scales are a red translucent acrylic with a clear acrylic wedge
    Brass pins and washers
    I'm quite proud of it.

Great restore!! Your wife will be very happy with that razor. There is a lot of love showing in the restore between all of the metal removed to get the chip out and the excellent work in selecting and making the scales.

Nice job Grant Can see you've worked with acrylic before

I see you rounded the spike on that heel mod. Looks great & will be a bit safer. I bet the missus will lurrv it.
