My first restoration project
I just bought an old Wade & Butcher wedge that I am going to restore.
Maybe I payed a bit too much for it, but I really wanted a razor that was a bit bigger, so why not.
When I bought it it had on some old horn scales that was just about eaten up by bugs, so theu went straight off. Then I started sanding down the blade, only mistake was that I got some 320 paper, I am def. going to buy something lower grit tomorrow. It was coverd with a combination of patina and rust and some pitting, so it is going to be quite a bit of sanding, but I have plenty of time.
The interesting thing about this project is that I am going to have to do it completely manually since all my tools are several thousand miles away. That is going to be fun when the time comes for scales.
Will post more updates later

I forgot to take the picture to begin with, so it is a bit late for that, but I think it will look really good when I am finished

If you enjoy what you are doing and have the patience it will come out nice.
