Does anyone know where in the US a person may find this wood??? I would be very interested in getting some.

Indeed it is! There are websites around that sell the wood, on ebay etc... or just visit the Ironwood forests in the Mojave desert, take a walkabout, find some fallen timber and you're good!
I bought this brush from a seller way back when:

Thanked: 182here is AU curly ironwood (2 top razors ) and the bottom one is AZ ironwood from the USA ([plain non burl grain)

I can see a #14 in ironwood... man that would be sweet. Shiny finish? Dull? Way better than the brown plastic scales...
LRHarner, The AU ironwood seems to have more going on, but the AZ just looks more attractive to my eye. Don't get me wrong, they are both awesome. Have a source for the stuff? What do they feel like on a razor, in the hand, while shaving?
