    Default Restoring logos on scales.

I have a Kinfolks Wedge that I'm working on and while the scales are nothing fancy, they do have the razor's logo stamped on the side so I'd like to keep them. The stamp is recessed and looks like it was originally all black.

Most of the black has faded and I wanted to know if you guys have any advice/recommendations on restoring that. My initial thought was to paint it and lightly sand it back down so that only the logo was black. If that's the proper route, then is there a recommended type/brand of paint to use? Or is there a better way? Here's a picture of the razor -- you can see the logo in the center of the scale:

You may want to check with one of the resto guys. You can find them in the "member services".

Thanks, Smythe! I was searching for terms like "restore scale logo" which didn't give me many results. I'll definitely check out the Rub 'n Buff paint.

@Bigbee: That's why I posted this question in the workshop.

+1 with Smythe I use almost the exact same technique....

The only thing I could add is about 24-48 hours later I wax the scales with Ren Wax to seal the whole thing .....
