    Default Tightening Pins

Hey Folks, Whats a good safe way to tighten the pins for a newbie like me? lol
I saw a thread about using a spoon, but cant seem to find it now. Let me know a decent way to tighten up one of mine thats a bit loose.

and here and here. If you look in the yahoo sites archives you'll find spoon mentioned, but a small hammer tapped lightly works pretty well in my experience. Make sure the bottom side of the pin is supported on something hard -- an anvil, a vise, a large wrench, etc. Tap lightly a couple times and then try it out... you can always tap again if it's too loose, but once it's too tight and/or you've cracked the scale you're screwed. If a couple taps on one side doesn't fix it I turn it over and peen the other side a couple taps, then check, then turn it over, etc.
