    OK, have you done a 7/8? Would it work with 6" scales instead of the 6.25" scales required for the 8/8?

    Yes, 6" long is enough for the Friodur 7/8 scalloped spine I have done and 1" wide is good to.

    Well we've already discussed this a little, but I'll just add--I have a 7/8 Solingen and I have the 8/8 Friodur, and the 7/8 IS just a tad more maneuverable than the 8/8, but the Spanish point does make up for some of that, especially around your nose/upper lip.

    It all comes down to what's calling you...

    Hold on a second here.....


    Decide on the razor you want first of all, and then get the correct sized wood to scale it. Not the other way around.

    Razors are expensive, wood is cheap.
