    Default drummel played out?

About 12 months ago I bought a new Drummel to buff out some blades. It worked great. Haven't used it for 8 months so I recharged the battery over night. Next day It ran but only for about a minute ,then it slowly ran out of juice??!! It just doesn't want to hold a charge.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks Al

probably just a bad battery -- it happens...I know you're "supposed" to keep batteries detached off your tools when you're not using them..like anyone does that.

Sucks because half the time the cost of a new battery makes you wonder about just buying a whole new one.

Try charging/discharging it a few times.

When rechargable batteries sit unused, they go bad, but after cycling this way, they sometimes come back to snuff and hold a longer charge

also make sure the contacts are clean on both the charger and the batter pack, use some steel wool/sand paper/ or a pencil eraser to clean the contacts
