Thread: Peen hammer

I wouldn't use more then a 4oz. Ball peen but I use a 2oz . but if you have one available I would use a jewelers ball peen. It would take more strikes with the hammer but would allow for more precision and view of each strike of the pins. If your in doubt try a practice run till your happy with the results.
Thats my 2 cents, from apprenticing in a traditional armour/black smith shop for 8 years.

That is one cool looking hammer, I like your thinking. It looks like it would do a great job at peening razors.
