    Default New Scales

Here is a picture of the scales I asked about the wedge angle for. The top blade is a Wester Brothers manganese steel with teak scales. The lower blade is an Oxford with walnut scales. The Wester is a cutter. I do not know how but I cut the side of my thumb while pining it. Just band aid deep.

By the way these blades come out of a large buy. We will be selling on eBay under Mysterydoll as we complete inventory. There are some items up now.

    Default Blade Centering

In fitting these scales I observed that the tang is tapered from the spine to the finger rest. As the blade is closed the wider portion of the tang enters the scales and the tighter fit centers the blade if it is straight. I bring this up because I am trying to center a blade in some warped celluloid scales that no longer are a close fit to the tang.
