Thanked: 25Rubber Filly boot
Are those things available anywhere else? I've not seen them for sale. I may try to integrate it into a restore I'm doing.

I'd be interested in getting one as well, I have a razor I just restored recently that has no jimps and is just too slippery in my hands sometimes

I haven't seen them either. You could always add jimps yourself with a checkering file. In general a 30 or 40 lines per inch file looks really well.

Depending on the hardness of the tang you try it on, it'll just result in a ruined checkering file.

Rubber boots
You guys are wizzards when it comes to restoring razors. I bet you could make something like this work, with a little careful carving/decorating of the outside...

What do you think? If anyone wants to try it, I have an account with them, and could just forward the shipping on to you ... (I don't know if you can buy from them without an account)
Edit ... The link takes you only to the section ... click on the "tubes", and then "square with round center"Last edited by antioch510; 09-26-2009 at 03:18 PM.
