    Pretty basic stuff if you have buffers, but if not, similar progression with sandpapers and rouge would servel well. Some folks use Dremels and Maas (I used to use this combination, but hard to get to mirror if you didn't start there). One of the things I dislike is that mirror finish that doesn't look natural. I call it OM'd.....Over mirrored....lol.

    I come off 600 grit compound or 800 grit sandpaper and the key is the transition of the scratch marks. I use an extra fast cutting stainless compound for this transition and Mike is right. Magnifiers really help make sure you get them out a there. From here I go to a Black bar, then green, then white for polish and then a final polisher. For the most part, all done on buffers although I will use the Foredom (Dremel equivalent ) for hard to reash spots or in between the scales at the hinge pin if I don't take the scales apart.
