Thanked: 51Cool magnafication device
I found this in a store this weekend and thought it was too cool to pass up.
It is a tv microscope and they also make a video camera microscope that goes to 400X. I thought this would be better than buying an expensive scope
There is also a video commercial on the site as well.

Thanked: 199Hehe, that's pretty creepy looking
But if you want a stable scope at high magnification, I would try THIS out.
This one is zoom-able from 20x-400x, and has a nice stand. Pretty good price for a 400x USB scope as well I have it on my Amazon wishlist, so maybe someone will get it for me for my bday or the holidays coming up
PS: I've read good reviews on it as well, which is a big plus.

Thanked: 51Well there are a number of you tube reviews on this and it seems to be a good alternative. Some one said they saw one in Walmart on sale for $25.00 for that price it may be worth while to check out. You can hold it down on the subject and it is steady.

Thanked: 5Yep, they work.
My girlfriends little sister had one of these and I was playing with it. I'm not sure what the magnification was, but you could see the individual denim fibers in my jeans and the "fuzzies" coming off of them. I have yet to try it out on my straight though
