What a fantastic idea! You could make some money doing that for people unfortunate enough to have dropped their razors or for some reason have a broken blade.. Looks SO much better than the shortened blades in the normal length scales. If I ever break or seriously chip one of my razors I hope you wouldn't mind if I asked you to consider converting it to a ""Eurasian" razor..

Thanked: 199That's a beautiful handle you put on that! Love it!
One thought tho, maybe put some kinda silicone sealant around where the handle starts to keep any water and moisture out. Taking that apart again might be a PITA.

Thanked: 1936Mr. A, I'd consider it, but there was a lot of time put into it. WOuld be quicker on another though (I've roughed out one in deer antler).
Rob, that gorilla stuff shouldn't let anything in, but it wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on it.
The main thing that I did that I wouldn't do again is put a finish on it. I should have left the wood natural and just put some sort of oil to it.
Thanks guys,

Thanked: 1936Thank you. I've got it roughed out, but not finished. I don't have a busted razor for it... It's setting in a cup in my shop/work area somewhere.

Your welcome. If I manage to bust a razor of mine or get my hands on an already broken one I know where to send it!
