Thanked: 3RCBS Vibratory Cleaner
I use a RCBS Vibratory Cleaner for final polish on restoring blades and it works great. I broke the bowl, (don't ask) called RCBS and told them I broke the bowl and asked to buy a new plastic bowl. The rep said no problem, they would send me one under warranty for free even though I broke it myself! So think about RCBS when looking at buying a vibratory cleaner.

Thanked: 1936I've had good luck with RCBS as well. Question: Above you mentioned final polishing in your tumbler, do you do most of your restoration with buffing wheels first?

Thanked: 3I do most of my restorations now with hand sanding and then using a dremel with the barrel sander (there is an article posted here somewhere, maybe in the gallery or restoration which teaches you how to make your own barrel sandpaper using a 1/2 inch dowl rod and strapping tape and wet/dry sandpaper and it works great) for getting out larger pitting or problem areas. Once down to 1500 or 2000 grit sandpaper, into the tumbler the blade goes for a day or two and it works wonders.
