Thanked: 3Pin/collars/washers issue
Ok so what did I do wrong?! Last night I was working on my very first scales replacement project. I have the pins and washers that you can buy as a set from a popular online shaving supply shop. I read the wiki pages and watched the short videos. I thought I was doing everything correctly. So everything was going good up until the time I went to put the final locking collar/washer on the pin. It would not fit!! It was too small! I tried a couple other collars that I had bought at the side time and the same thing! Too small (in diameter). What I ended up doing is forcing the collar (with way too much force than I thought I should of needed to) on the end of the pin and sort of tamping them both down at the same time. It seemed to work out ok but I didn't think that was how it was supposed to work. Are the collars supposed to be of a fit that they can barely fit over the pins? Anyone else experience this issue with pin/collar/washer sets they have bought online?

Thanked: 13245sounds like a Dovo set of pins...
Yes the Dovo collar is tight and it is made that way... The easiest way to put them on is to drill a 1/16" hole in a small piece of plastic or wood and use that to slide them on.... the cup goes downward BTW...
