    Default Dremel drill press thingamabob...

Will the dremel drill press setup be precise enough to drill out pins? I have the multipro already and some tiny bits, this would be the economical way for me to go if it would work. All I'd be drilling are small things such as this. Just haven't been able to see one in person so I don't know how much wiggle or play it has. Thanks..........Jeff

I would have to say that the Dremel drill press is a little too flimsy for precision drilling. (my mom has one for jewelry). It probably would work for drilling pins, but... I was just in a harbor freight store yesterday and they had a 10" benchtop drill press for $49.99. Not very much more expensive than the dremel version and sure to be much more sturdy and precise (even though it is some no name brand). just another fairly economical option to consider.

I'll have to take a look at their website and see if they list it there. Thanks

Harbor Freight regularly puts that drill press on sale. Once every two or three months. Watch your local newspaper for estate(tag) sales with shop equipment listed. You can usually find a decently priced drill press that way.

If you are lucky enough to have a store near by then stop in. They frequently have in store specials that are not available through their flyers or their website.
Same holds true for Tool King stores, again if you have one near by.
