    Default Question for Tumbler users.

I'm new to tumblers...got one, and noted that sure you can drop your blade into the media, but is there a risk of it hitting against the threaded bolt in the center of the bowl? Safer to just put some tubing over this bolt to cushion it?

I thought about blocking the thread, but I found out that all scratches I got were from the locking nut. I filed it smooth and now I am not seeing scratches. The idea for tubing is great, and I think that some teflon or plain rubber tubing will work even better than metal.
