    Default My first razor restoration

    Ontario Cutlery 5/8 in wenge scales/bone wedge.

    scales were hot wax soaked then had a little neats foot wiped on same with the wedge
    mirco fasteners and added a third pin
    brass collars in pivit hole and for third pin as well
    cleaned and sanded blade from 800-2400 then turtle wax rubbing compound
    its ruff but mostly all by hand, and I cant help the faux fur after all its like razor soft porn

    My first set was pretty rough too. I have found the key is to round out all the outside edges with some 220 grit paper. Then proceed through the grades all over. Somehow it really helps the overall look of the scales.
