Awesome job shutterbug! Can't wait to see more pics :D
WOW!
I uhhhhh.... WOW.
I'm just gonna go throw my tools in the dumpster now because I obviously do not know how to use them.
I've got to stop reading threads like this...
Am just getting ready to try my hand at my very first restoration - with little more than a few hand tools and a ton of patience as I have no workshop - and your creativity and gorgeous work already have me wanting to run out and buy every tool... get every scale material... and try every overly ambitious concept that I can.
They look amazing so far and, like everyone else, I cannot wait to see the finished piece.
Bad to the bone. That took a lot of patience as well as skill if I'm not mistaken. :tu
I've done my first couple restores with nothing but hand tools, but I know what you mean. The more I look at work like this and our pros in the resto section, the more I feel this power tool acquisition disorder coming on. But you can still do really good work with hand tools and there is something satisfying about the finished product when you've done the extra work required for hand tools. If all else fails you can use the excuse that you have no power tools (similar to saying the sun was in my eyes).
I want to see it pinned up with the blade!
