My first attempt at making scales

CarrieM uses Waterlox Marine Finish to waterproof scales. She says you can pick it up at Woodcraft.com. It's a little pricy, but I'm sure it goes a LONG way.

Do you guys think I would be better off just using POLY instead. I cant believe minwax and forsby has no tung oil in it. What is the point.

Very nice. Now all you go to do is put a couple of nice blades worthy of those neat scales. Really neat.

Thank you! I have a 8/8 Friodur for the one piece scale. Im thinking of a 7/8 W&B or a 11/16 Genco for the 2 piece scale
