    One thing you could try is adding a locking hinged flap or cover type thing on the top, which would prevent a razor from being lifted out. We have the same kind of setup for a display brandy bottle holder.

    The reason I made it for 8 instead of 7 is because if I start with a razor and it needs sharpening, I go the the next one for that day and sharpen it later.
