    Default Pits and Black Spots

I have yet to purchase Bill's restoration book and am looking for some input on how to remove pitting. I take it fine grit sandpaper may be an option, but is there some other recommended way?

By the way, I bought some standard metal polish and the blades shined up quite nicely! Thanks for the input on the polishing compound thread!

Personally, as long as the pitting is not at the edge, I believe it adds character to the razor.

Some of the options are sandpaper, rubber bonded abrasive wheels, radial bristle disc's, buffing compound, and thats all I can think of this early in the morning (5:45 AM).

The general aproach is to use the least aggressive method necessary.
Start with the fine stuff and work down to the level of coarseness that does the job.

Beware of heat build up. It can ruin the temper of the steel.

Get Bills CD and the tools from him. Its well worth the money. Also read every post in the Restoration forum. Its a goldmine of info.

    Just my two cents,
