Thanked: 293Ram's Horn
Have any of you workshop gurus figured out how to get ram's horn to be used as scale material? Everything I've seen on the 'net seems too small to be used as scales (especially for something as big as a Filly 14).
I like this look and want to slap some ram's horn on my Filly EPBD.

So does the Invisible Edge/Thiers Issard UK, but this is obviously based in England.

I got it. Kill a ram and take its horns, and boil and flatten them in a vice lined with 18mm plywood. Couldnt be more simple...

Thanked: 293So I take it that none of our master workshop guys have worked with Ram's horn. Interesting!
I scoured the net and couldn't find it prepped for manipulating, however I did find just some big ol' hunks of horn, au naturale.

I have a whole ram's horn hanging in the shop. I just haven't got up the nerve to take a whack at boiling it yet.
