Epoxy
Help! I would like to try using epoxy to finish my wooden scales as other forum members have done, but I haven't been able to locate any at the local hardware stores. Where should I be looking? Is there some place online where I can get it? Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanked: 1262I bought it from lowes. Cannot remember the brand name right now. It was with the wood finishes.

Thanks. Oddly, Lowes is one of the places where I looked for it. I looked in the wood-finishing section and couldn't find it, so I asked a clerk about it and was told that they didn't carry it. I'll go have another look since I know that they do sell it -- the clerk apparently didn't know exactly what I was looking for.

Haven't actually used it myself yet, but I believe a lot of the guys who use epoxy recommend marine epoxy just for that added assurance of protection against water...
Here's the product link for it on the Lowe's website - the page has a field where you can enter in your zip code to see if you local store has it in stock:
LOCTITE at Lowe's: .85 Oz. Marine Epoxy Syringe
It should be in the adhesives section which tends to be next to, or near, the wood finishing section.
