    Default Metal Polish

Can anybody recomend a good abrasive metal polish? I dont have a buffing wheel so im doing it by hand. Im just trying to get rid of some black marks on my blade that regular polish would not remove. I dont want to go to crazy because of the etching on the blade. So this will be last resort and ill leave it if i have to. Thanks.

Have you tried the Turtle Wax Premium Rubbing compound? Its a bit more abrasive than MAAS and most other polishes. May wanna give that a try. You can usually find it at Kragens ro Autozone.

it wil affect anywhere you use it, but it should still come out shiney...
just avoud using it on any gold wash.
if it does leave any swirl marks, you can easily buff those out with a milder polishing compound. (almost any generic chrome polish) Or chromium oxide paste.

I tried that Maas polish the other day on recomendation from someone here. The stuff is fantastic. It leaves a mirror finish. I got it at Ace hardware. The price is right. About six dollars. It only takes a very small ammount.

I haven't been able to find Maas. I've heard so many praise it that I'll have to take another look. I have gotten good results with Semichrome, Wenol and Flitz. Like Mike_ratliff said, kiss gold wash goodbye if you get any of the polish on that.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Autozone or Ace Hardware are both easy locks to find the MAAS. Like you said though...Flitz does a fine job just the same. Flitz saved my silverwing from a waterspot that darn near gave me a heart attack when i saw it. doh!

Not all Walmart's or Ace's carry Maas, so it's a good idea to keep an eye out for the others as well. Would also recommend calling around first if you want to save time and gas

No place near me carried Maas, and I had to order it off Amazon, figured I would let you all know
