Default Where can I get Horn?

I've got a W&B For Barbers Only on its way to me from the U.S. and the scales are shot on it. I'm still debating what to replace them with, but horn is obviously going to be on the list of options. Only thing is I have no idea where to aquire some from. I'm in Australia too BTW. Any advice on where to look would be appreciated.

I've purchased horn slabs from Masecraft in the U.S. They're long enough (at least the black ones are) for scales but the thickness requires you to resaw them to near scale thickness. A hassle, but that does mean you can make two sets of scales per slab; or, possibly three sets per slab if you're making narrow width scales like the bakelite scales found on Boker Red Injun 101s for example.

Or, you could go the route I'm starting in this project just for the fun of it :

Shoot an email to AKC Grant . They should be able to point you in the right direction even if they don't have any in stock.

I've purchased pre-cut slabs from this guy:
    rao@srkimpex.com

Direct import from India, he can cut/polish etc in whatever dimensions you want ...

Masecaraft sells 6"x2"x1/8" slabs directly on their website. The pieces are magnifcent too, and they (masecraft) are a pleasure to do business with.

Look here, at the last 2 items on the page:
    Masecraft USA: HORN

I am not sure how they're international delivery is, but if you email them they are usually quick to respond.

I live in midwest U.S. and know of a few Bison farms and am planning on stopping by some day to pick some up. Maybe you could look for a place like that. There are also some deer farms that I know of as well. I'm not sure what types of places like that that you may have down there but just figured I would share the thought. I doubt it but what about taxidermists? Worth a shot I guess.

Thanks for all the help guys. I e-mailed masecraft, and i should say that Chris there was very helpfull, but shipping to Australia was going to be US$40-50. which is way more than the cost of the horn. I'm not sure why though, I just got a razor sent over from the U.S. for $13.50 and the size and weight would be about the same.
Its a shame too, their stuff looks great. Maybee one day I'll do a bigger order and make the postage worthwhile.
    Thanks.

I bet the slabs would fit in a U.S. Postal Service "Priority International Flate Rate" cardboard envelope. The cost of shipping that internationally is, IIRC, $13.95 U.S.?

I'd be happy to be the middleman for no additional cost if you had the scales shipped to me and then I'd ship them on to you only for the cost of the shipping. I hope that makes sense.
