    Default What exactly is CA

I keep seeing CA in posts in the workshop, what exactly is CA and how exactly do you finish wood scales with it.
    Thank you Tony B.

Cannonfodder did a good thread about using epoxy resin as a scale finish, and he did say its a lot easier to put on than CA as well.

    Heres the thread:

Heres the workshop guidance thread, which will link you to a lot of great information.

    Good luck!

CA does give a different finish though, I prefer it over epoxy resin.

And I always thought CA was short for California...

When done properly a CA finish can be truly nice looking but you need lots of patience sanding and layering + the fumes are killing so you better always wear a mask and goggles of some kind.
