I was visiting an acquaintance yesterday who makes displays for the local museum. He had a bunch of "cut-offs" in a big box that I took interest in, asking what he had in there. He responded "mostly kindling, now"

"Kindling my *ss!" I responded. I asked if I could them have some. He did me one better; quickly cutting two dozen planks 1/8"X2"X6" in seconds flat! He was happy just to get rid of the stuff!

I thanked him profusely. I walked away with cut slabs of: Crosscut Oak (interesting grain patters), Ebony, Teak, Cherry, Rosewood, and Birdseye Maple!

I gotta find some more blades, cuz I just gotta put together a razor for him!
