Isn't it odd how we have guys writing to this forum to find the best way to obtain the highest, most mirror-like shine on their blades. They are willing to risk carpal tunnel syndrome, Dremel damage and endless hours of sanding to achieve their goal. And here we have other guys who are looking to cover up any sheen on their razors with artificially induced patina and gun browning.

Anyway, the solution to the "patina problem" has always been there for me. It seems many of the razors I buy in flea markets, yard sales, antiques stores, etc, have been pre-patinaed (is that a word?) by years of sitting in drawers, attics, basements, etc. So, MadButcher, if your looking for an original patinized razor, PM me and maybe we can work out a deal. (and you can save me from some unnecessary hours of sanding!)
