Thanked: 1072Another Hand Sanding Tool
I cant take credit for this one, I saw it an Bill Ellis' blog months back but just tried it out this week. All you need is a piece of old radiator hose or something similar. Hopefully the pictures will explain how it's made.
The advantages are that your hand remains quite relaxed when using it and it provides nice even preasure on the blade by conforming to the curve, it also kind of stops you from applying exessive preasure too.
Takes a few minutes to get used too if your used to doing it all with fingers only, but it works quite well, and is very easy to make.

Re- Sanding tool
that's pretty cool! I have been looking for something to get the hollow....I was thinking of trying to put 2000 grit on a palm sander to see if that would shorten the time spent? I was thinking that it would be about as long as the blade, thereby taking the waves out that a dremmel would leave? Ever try it?

My fingers thank you
I've worked all my life to find new and inventive ways to slice up my fingers. Hand-sanding razors has been a whole new world of bloody fun -- thank God for superglue. I'm going to try this setup tomorrow.
