    Default goldedge dubl duck

First off, hello. Im a new member but i have been reading the forums for a time now and thank you so much for this place and the great info that people post. I bought a shave ready Red Imp some time ago and i loved it so much that well..RAD. Any way now that i feel comfortable stropping I am looking to have one of my ebay finds restored to a shave ready condition if possible. My question is can you tell from my pics if this can be saved? Also what kind of $$ am i looking at to have it fixed up. Any suggestions? Thanks! sorry for the long post.[IMG][/IMG]

I think it will turn out if you want to get it restored, some hone wear and rust, but it doesn't look like there are any big edge/pitting problems... On the other hand, you may be happy with giving it a hand polish with some mass and just having it honed too, it would probably clean pretty well that way and you may be happy enough with it to start using it

As for prices, check the classifieds under member services and send some PM's to some of the restore guys.. they'll help you out.

    Cheers
    Dave

Welcome to SRP. + 1 to what Del1r1um said .... If that was mine I would just polish it with a metal polish, hone it up and shave. Those goldedges are generally super shavers.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
