    The general use would be for making your flat washers domed. The nail set idea also mentioned is for smoothing out the actual pin

    Thank you for humoring me Muirtach. I was wondering how people got those great looking domed washers. Here is another question. Where is a likely place to find those washers?

    Yep, been there and done that as well as bent a pin. Re-pinning just takes a little patience...
