Stratocaster Inspired Scales
Here they are!
I went all out on the detailing, including the purpleheart inlay on the back and the amp plug on the front.
I will be making a matching wood box for these just like the one for the violin scales and putting them up on e-bay.
I have to pay for all the toys that I got to help me make these plus there are other theme scales to try out.
What do you think?Last edited by vladsch; 02-20-2006 at 04:33 AM.

Hey Vlad!
I've got a White Stratocaster. How much do you charge to make a special order?? PM me. Thanks,

Sweet!
Can you make an amplifier shave mug or something to go with it?

Thanked: 1I am astounded by the originality, attention to detail, and pioneer "tude" you have shown for these scales. Let me know when this razor goes on eBay so I can bid on it... This little project of yours reminded me of Ken Onion when he first showed me his spring-assist knives. Thinkin' outside the box... just dandy!
Congratulations on a job well done...
Now all you need to do is learn how to put your pics n stuff on these threads so we don't have to scroll back and forth to see it all...

Awesome scales, but your guitar is 'backwards'. Yes i am left-handed and I get tired of hearing that my guitar is backwards, so I have decided that righties are backwards.

Your encouragement is much appreciated.
Thanks to everyone for the praise. Being a perfectionist I tend to focus on areas in need of improvement instead of enjoying the results overall. Your feedback helps me get a more balanced perspective.
Special thanks goes to RT for his suggestion of the theme, even if it was in jest .
Bill, I am very greatful for your words of praise. I am encouraged to keep at it.
XMan, the one thing I am not equipped for and have no experience in is clay work. So an amp shapped mug will have to be made by someone else .
As far as a box for this razor is concerned, do you think that a guitar shaped one is worth the extra work or one similar to the violin razor is good enough?
