Hey guys, I am wondering if it is possible to re gold plate a razor with a tang like a dubl duck goldedge. Is it possible? Is there anyone who can do it for cheap? I just bought this razor http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...or-please.html
And it used to have a golden tang and gold in the etching. any help would be appreciated!

Thanked: 0Not cheap but a pretty easy system and you can do lots of razors.

I haven't tried it but from what I've read around the web it's a good system.

I have had good success with razors with deep etching. I restored them and then put 18 kt gold paint on the blade. When it was dry I sanded it with 2000 grit paper. The paint came off the high spost and stayed in the etching. It looks almost as good as new.
