Cool compair polish flitz vs. maas?

I just bought a dremel tool to use on some old straight razors I picked up at a second hand store.(Lt.rust & water marks & stains)
I have some flitz polish at home but I hear maas is good. is one more fine than the other? faster? and I noticed the dremel tool came with some kind of red cake stuff I never used yet. anyone know how that compairs to the flitz and maas?
    THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

The red cake is most likely Jeweler's Rouge a, standard polishing compound...

As to the Flitz-vs-MAAS the is a tuff one the only real difference I notice is that Flitz will take off gold wash 100% of the time I have used it, where MAAS might leave it 50% of the time...
Both work great, but I only use them by hand, I never got good results using them with any power...

Make sure you read all the warnings about Dremels and Razors....

Is the jeweler's rouge better to get Lt.rust marks out?

I would say Maas is less abrasive compared to Flitz.

forget that red container that comes with your dremel. It makes a mess, will clog your felt wheels and doesn't do squad on your straight razor except make a sticky mess.

The green turtle wax rubbing compound with your dremel and felt wheel works incredibly well.

    Here is the bad news...

Polishing compounds will not even take off stains, they are good for polishing only...

There are two things you should look at to get an idea of what it really takes to polish off rust and stains...

Look right here at the top of the Workshop forum for more info then you will ever want or need including some stuff made for Dremels....

Hehe and my Restore Bro Max already beat me to the trutle wax hint...

also search out Jockeys vid on Dremeling...
