Default pin materials - nickel silver rods and washers?

Hey all, does anyone know any good places to buy nickel silver rods and washers for pins? (i.e. yher 1/16" size 0 ones) - i found brass easily enough, but also need some silver. ideally I wouldn't have to buy a million...thanks much.

I buy my stuff from Texas Knife Makers Supply. There might be better but they are good to deal with.

thanks, mackie - checked it out, and they've got the nickel silver rod stock, but not the washers - do we just use stainless steel washers on that? because the reason for the silver is so its softer and easier to cut and peen, but that doesnt matter for the washers?

Stainless would be nice. Polish them before putting them on and they will be nice.I make mine by drilling the end of a 3/16 rod ( a little tricky ) and cutting off washers from that with a jewelers saw. I lay them on a piece of 800 grit sandpaper and put a pink eraser on top and rub them back and forth to thin them even and polish them.

hah, that's hardcore, making your own washers :goodjob . I dont have the tools for that.

Does *anybody* make the washers in nickel silver? Also, for the life of my I acn't find anyone who seels the rods and the washers together. PLenty of people sell the one or the other. And, though I want to do most my pinning the "old-style," I also wanted to get some of the "new style," with the screw and hex bolt - but I cant find the size 0 bolts and nuts.
