    Default What wood?

This is the wood that I used in making a couple brushes and a wedge. I don't know what it is could someone tell me. Thanks.

    The leaves close up.

Thats Elm, I doubt if it will be any good as it is soft and prone to cracking as it dries out. But for scales I could be wrong, best of luck.

This stuff grows like a weed though. In three weeks it has grown over a foot and is very wet when cut.

elm has leaves with sawtooth edges-like my razors.

I would almost say black locust, but you did not mention any thorns

No thorns, this stuff regrows after cutting down to a stump too. So I don't think it is a tree.

heh. I know what you mean we have a shrubby nuisance tree around here. You cut it down and 10 hundred shoots come up from its viney roots. Now that can be a handy habit for a cool tree like Ash.

The sapwood of your pest is probably not good for much but there could be some heartwood in the biggest part worth drying just to see good luck
