Default New engraved scales, Sword and Dragon

Here is a set of scales I just finished. They are ivory micarta and hand engraved by myself. They are not perfect but they are hand done and I am not a master engraver yet.

Have you ever done scrimshaw or kohlrosig? There are some fantastic designs out there that I think would be really neat in the scales you're making. I believe a site from a place called Pinewood Forge might have some designs, or at least lots of great photos of kohlrosed materials.

I tried scrimshaw at one time but engraving can be done on almost any surface, even steel. I like to work on brass or aluminum most of all, it is easier to control the direction of the cutting. At least for me. The resistance of the metal seems to help.
