Default Trying to start my first project

I was able to get this razor at an antique store and I'm trying to see what i have to do first. Sorry about the huge pictures. I had to use cell phone since i don't own a camera.

I hope i might be able to restore this. The scales are bent and i hate the look of them anyway, so they will probably go. What do you guys think I should do first?

The rusting and pitting along the bevel looks to be pretty serious. Perhaps you should hone it first to see if the edge is ruined or can be sharpened. No sense in going through all the restoration process if your razor can't be made shave ready.

Walt is right on, if it can't shave it's just a shop knife...
