    Default Been practicing my engraving

    Here is a full engraved razor I just finished engraving the handles on. I am having a lot of fun doing this.

    I really like the way you matched the style of the engraving on the blade and scales... very nicely done!

    The scales are ivory micarta and I used a small chasing hammer and chisel .

    Very nice,Mackie.It looks like a leatherworking pattern I've seen quite a bit on saddles and such.

    Mackie, keep up the good work! I've read quite a few articles on the net about how well micarta lends itself to engraving, carving, and scrimshawing. Go for it, man!

    It's awesome to watch people on this site discover and/or develop their "hidden talent" and have such fun doing it, thanks to the Straight Razor Habit.
