Okay, I'm getting the hang of this. The pics are deceptive. If I were to square it off, but leave the spine, that's a lot of spine poking out. I do like the idea of leaving the spine, so it doesn't look wrong in the scales and would seem longer.
I think I'll try rounding off the chip, going for this look:

Looks Good! I was gonig to bid on that razor and now I'm kinda glad I didn't.

I got what I expected. I think it'll survive. I'm glad i was able to round it out to keep a pleasing look. I hadn't even thought of rounding it over. Good thing I posted this. I think a spike would have altered to character too much and it would look less like a W&B.
