Looking good, I've got a couple in white oak, I think one is a Morley as well. Looking at the design, you may have to add another pin at the bottom of the wedge side once you are doing final assembly, but that's an easy add IF you need it.

Thanks. I have made it a 1 piece and actually started a set of black walnut traditional scales if the oak 1 piece does not work the way I want.

My problem is it is going to take me most of the week since I have to hand sand everything currently until I get my belt sander working

Looks like you are at the finishing stages anyway, most of us use a sander for shaping & finish by hand anyways...

Ok I messed up the oak scales while pinning due to the #0 washers not going over the 1/16 brass rod easily and sticking at a weird angle so it dug in and cracked the back.

Do people normally have to re-drill their washers or did I just get some garbage ones?

Guess it is back to work on some different scales now..

They fit tight & sometimes you have to take the pin out and touch up the edges of where you trimmed off the pin every so slightly with something like 400 grit to get the burrs off.

Well I need to make another set which I have oak for.. so here is a pic of what I have. Also I added pics of the next one I need to re-scale..
